About Us
At Oakridge Academy we lay firm foundations for life.
We believe in a holistic approach to education where we do not only maintain a high academic standard but also walk an intimate road with each child ensuring spiritual and emotional development.
We intentionally expose the children to a biblical value system where teachers do not only teach the Word, but also model and walk in the footsteps of Jesus for the children to see and imitate a living relationship with Christ.
Our class rooms are small and set up to maintain a home atmosphere in which learning becomes an experience and not just an activity. Learning involves all the senses and apart from instruction we set out our lessons in such a way that learning happens through discovery and very practical activities.
We see each child as an individual and carry the belief that each child can learn – we just need to find the key to their learning process.
Our heart is to see the children flourish and become all that God wants them to be. We take pleasure in journeying with each child for their season at Oakridge and believe that this will be the generation through which God will do great things.
Christian Foundation Based Curriculum
We use a dynamic and holistic curriculum with a strong christian ethos. Christ is at the centre of all we do. This belief lays a foundation of every subject we teach and forms part of everyday life at Oakridge. As we are discipled by Jesus, we also disciple those around us. We believe in giving back as we train the next generation to care and serve in different spaces as part of our Crossing Borders and Outreach Program.
Practical Life Skills
In addition, our curriculum boasts of practical life skills offered to our young learners. Our children get the opportunity to bake, garden and sow in order to instil basic life skills. We value hands-on learning. Our small class sizes ensure personalized support as well as creative and interactive teaching methods.
SPORTS - GROSS MOTOR ACTIVITIES
Each child is given exposure to different sport and gross motor activities to discover their God-given talents. Our various activities range from athletics to netball as listed below.

Cultivating Curiosity and Adventure
At Oakridge Academy, we love life and encourage exploration. We enjoy nature, hiking and camping. Through this, we desire to awaken a sense of adventure within our learners.
